Ingredients

  1. 250 gFlour
  2. 250 gButter (softened)
  3. 250 gSugar (but I reduced it to 200g since I’mein frosted it with fondant so it will make it very sweet)
  4. 4large eggs (use 5 eggs if you using small size)
  5. 2 tspVanilla
  6. 2 tspBaking powder
  7. as required Coloring (optional)

    In a large mixing bowl add softened butter and sugar and beat with electric beater or wire whisk about 3-4 minutes.

    Add egg one by one and mix until incorporate well.

  3. 3

    Add 2tsp vanilla and mix again

  4. 4

    In another bowl add flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.

  5. 5

    Now add flour mixture and milk alternatively. (First add 3/1 of flour to the butter mixture and mix it in cut and fold method now add half of the milk and mix again, now add 2/3 of flour and mix well now add remaining milk and end with remaining flour and mix well without any lumps) don’t over mix

  6. 6

    Meanwhile prepare the pan (I used 8*9 inch pan) with parchment paper and pour the batter into it

  7. 7

    Preheat the oven to 180c about 10 minutes and bake the cake in same temperature for about 35-40 minutes. Rotate the pan halfway to bake evenly
