Butter cake with homemade fondant

This is the best and spongy butter cake I’ve ever eaten. And fondant is I’ve made for the first time and came out really very yummy. Kids and everyone loved it.

In a large mixing bowl add softened butter and sugar and beat with electric beater or wire whisk about 3-4 minutes.

Add egg one by one and mix until incorporate well.

Add 2tsp vanilla and mix again

In another bowl add flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.

Now add flour mixture and milk alternatively. (First add 3/1 of flour to the butter mixture and mix it in cut and fold method now add half of the milk and mix again, now add 2/3 of flour and mix well now add remaining milk and end with remaining flour and mix well without any lumps) don’t over mix

Meanwhile prepare the pan (I used 8*9 inch pan) with parchment paper and pour the batter into it

Preheat the oven to 180c about 10 minutes and bake the cake in same temperature for about 35-40 minutes. Rotate the pan halfway to bake evenly
