Mushroom 65 (Dry)

#cookpadindia
Mushroom 65 is a famous appetizer equivalent to it's equally famous counterpart- the Chicken 65. This one here is a dry version and I just made it for the kids Tiffin boxes. It's a famous appetizer in the Veg category loved by many across the Country and therefore tops the party menus too. Lip smacking, juicy, succulent pieces of fresh Button Mushrooms just melts in your mouth. There is no need to add any artificial colour to it as it looks gorgeous with the natural colour it gets from the spice blend. But still I added just a pinch of Dry Red Food Colour to it. You may totally skip that if desired.
It tastes yum with simple Rotis. My family usually loves it with simple Indian Bread either for Breakfast if it's a weekend or most of the times for Dinner.
And I make it a point to make this delicious appetiser on the very same day when I get these pristine White Button Mushrooms 🍄 from the market.

Steps
- 1
Clean and wash the Button Mushrooms well and using the first 8 ingredients, marinate it and keep aside covered for about 30 minutes. Oil to be taken as required for the deep frying part.
- 2
Deep fry all the pieces in batches of 2 or 3 until crisp and done. Keep aside. In a Kadai or a cooking pot, heat Oil. Add Curry Leaves and slit Green Chillies along with chopped Garlic. Fry for half a minute and add onion chunks and Capsicum Cubes. Stir fry for at least 7-8 minutes. Keep the heat on a low throughout.
- 3
Saute everything well until the raw smell fades away. Give it all a good mix. Cover and let it cook for about 5 minutes more. That's it. It's all done. Enjoy with your loved ones and friends alike. Happy Eating!
