Steps
- 1
Prepare a sticky syrup by mixing 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water and set aside. Mix all-purpose flour, corn flour, yogurt, baking soda, and orange food color with a little water to make a smooth batter. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 2
Make a small hole in the cap of a plastic bottle. After 15 minutes, fill the bottle with the batter. Heat oil and squeeze the batter into the hot oil in circular shapes to form jalebis.
- 3
Fry the jalebis until they are crispy on both sides.
- 4
Dip the hot jalebis in the syrup for a few seconds, then remove them to a plate.
- 5
Garnish with sliced pistachios. The hot jalebis are ready to serve.
