Mango sticky rice is a traditional Southeast Asian and South Asian dessert made with glutinous rice, fresh mango and coconut milk.

Mango sticky rice is a traditional Southeast Asian and South Asian dessert made with glutinous rice, fresh mango and coconut milk.

Soak rice for 3-4 hours. Drain all the water, tie in a muslin cloth and steam in a steamer for 25-30 minutes.

Mix coconut milk, sugar, salt and cornflour. Simmer this mixture until 2-3 boils. Mix this mixture in steamed rice and cover it for half n hour. Reserve half cup coconut mixture.

Now plate the rice along with diced/chopped mango. Drizzle reserved coconut mixture and garnish with black sesame seeds n mango pieces. Its ready to serve.

I have added pandan leave in coconut mixture (its optional as not easily available here in India).
