Two options to fry. One is firm. The other is crispy outside and silky inside.
Steps

Open tofu and drain. Set on it's side and slice.

Cut the pieces close to same size. Coat with paprika, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Add seasoned tofu to ziplock bag.

Mix the marinade ingredients. Pour in wet ingredients

Allow to marinate 2 or 3 hours. Turn half way in time. Option 1, you can coat with cornstarch and fry, it will come out crispy outside creamy inside.

Option 2, Heat oil and fry lightly till just brown take out put on to paper towels to absorb excessive amounts of oil. Cot with cornstarch. Add back to oil to fry till crispy. This will cause it to be completely firm.
