This is an innovative recipe. Basically it is semolina sweet halwa. For giving some twist I made two types of Halwa mango and beetroot flavour by adding fresh mango and beetroot and assembled in layer dessert form.

This is an innovative recipe. Basically it is semolina sweet halwa. For giving some twist I made two types of Halwa mango and beetroot flavour by adding fresh mango and beetroot and assembled in layer dessert form.

First make mango puree and keep aside

Now make beetroot juice and keep aside

Make basic semolina halwa first

For this, roast sooji on low flame by adding ghee or butter

Roast till it changes to golden pink color and aromatic

Now add boiling water

Cook for 2min

Add sugar, saffron mix well, cover and cook for 3-4min

Now divide in two parts

In first part add mango puree and again cook for 2-3min

In another part add beetroot juice and cook for 3-4min

Take serving glasses

Add mango puree at the bottom

Give layer of beetroot halwa

On top of that place layer of mango halwa

Grate beetroot for garnishing
