Moong dal paratha
Steps
- 1
Soak the moong dal for 3-4 hours then pressure cook with little water for 5 minutes.
- 2
The dal should be cooked but not mashed up to make paranthas.
- 3
Add finely chopped onion, salt, red chilli powder and dry mango powder and mix it all well.
- 4
Make a dough with water and flour and rest it for 15-20 minutes.
- 5
Take a small ball of dough, roll it out a little and smear some ghee. Add 1-2 tbsp of dal mix in the centre.
- 6
Close the ball of dough and roll it again into a parantha.
- 7
Put it on a hot tawa and cook on both sides with ghee.
- 8
Serve the paranthas hot with some chutney, papad or curd.
