Not everyone eats rice daily like the Japanese, and not everyone has a rice cooker on hand. so this recipe is to show you how Japanese rice is cooked on a stove top.

Wash rice three times or until water runs clear.

Drain water and then place rice in a pan. Add water and soak for 30 minutes. Close lid and turn on heat to high.

When water starts to boil, turn heat to low and cook for ~15 minutes. If you see water still in the pan, cook for few more minutes.

Turn off heat and let sit for ~15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the rice is ready.
