Traditional South Indian cuisine hot savoury snacks prepared Channa Dal ,Toor Dal, flavoured with curry leaves, corainder leaves and chillies.

Steps

Wash and soak both dals for 2 hours. Grind soaked dals, curry leaves,green corainder leaves, red chillies,ginger,salt to coarse mixture. Transfer it in mixing bowl. Add chopped onion and mix well.

Heat oil for frying. Take lemon size portion of prepared batter, flattened it give round shape between palms.

Deep fry paruppu vadai in hot oil on medium flame till crispy golden.

For coconut chutney..grind 1 green chilli,1/2 " ginger,1/4 cup roasted gram dal, 1/2 cup fresh coconut pieces, fistful fresh coriander leaves,salt and fresh curd as required to make chutney.

Serve Relish Delicious Hot Paruppu Vadai with coconut corainder chutney and podi dry chutney.
