Vermicelli kheer

Seviyan kheer also known as vermicelli kheer is a must at any festival at our place. This creamy seviyan kheer is a North Indian sweet made with vermicelli, milk, sugar, dry fruits and flavored with spices. This incredibly easy recipe of semiya kheer comes together in 20 minutes and makes for an excellent dessert or sweet that can be eaten as is or served with a North Indian meal.

In a pan add a spoonful of ghee fry cashews and dry grapes keep it aside. In the same pan fry vermicelli for 2 minutes. now add a cup of boiled water and cook the vermicelli till it becomes soft.

After that add sugar and let the flame be low until sugar gets dissolve after that add essence if you need and add fried grapes and cashews and transfer to a serving bowl

If you want to add colours take some vermicelli separately and mix well after adding colour you have to heat it for 2 minutes and then transfer it to a serving bowl.Garnish as your wish
Vermicelli Kheer is now ready to serve - 4
Note:- in a large bowl(white vermicelli) I have added vanilla essence
in the pink one I have added lite rose colour and strawberry essence and in the green one I have added lite green colour and pista essence
