Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to beat.

Spoon small mounds of meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, or place the mixture into molds as I did.

Bake at 250°F (120°C) for about 1 hour if you placed the meringues on a baking sheet, or 1 hour 30 minutes if using molds.
