Ingredients

  • 150 gramMung beans
  • 1 spoonfennel seeds
  • 1 spooncumin seeds
  • 2 spoonPepper
  • 1/4 spoonChili powder1/2spoon turmeric powder
  • 2 spoonCoriander powder
  • 1/2 spoonGaram masala
  • 1 spoonGinger garlic paste
  • 1Green chilli
  • 2small tomatoes
  • leavesCoriander
  • leavesMint
  • leavesCurry
  • 2Onion
  • 100 gramOil

Steps

30hour
  1. 1

    First soak mung beans overnight and strain it.

  2. 2

    Dry roast fennel, cumin, Pepper and grind it into powder

  3. 3

    Now add Mung beans in a mixer jar add one inch Ginger and 4 peppercorns and make it a coarse thick paste

  4. 4

    Take a shallow mould plate (Square recommended) and grease the mould with some oil or butter and add the coarse grinded paste and steam it

  5. 5

    Now Take a Pan and pour some Sesame oil and add finely chopped onions cook it till transparent and add Chopped Tomatoes and a Green chilli

  6. 6

    Next add spices Chilli Powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder and dry roasted powder with it. (the dish could be spicy if you add a bit more pepper powder)
    Add a pinch of Salt and pour some water and let it cook

  7. 7

    Now take out the steamed Mung beans and let it cool and cut it into cubes as liver and add it to gravy.

  8. 8

    (If you want you can cook it as curry) Now let it cook well and add some chopped onions and some quarter spoon butter and garnish with mint and coriander leaves.
