Ingredients

  1. For Dough
  2. 1 cupwhole wheat flour
  3. 1/4 tspsalt
  4. 1 tspghee for kneading the dough
  5. as required Water to knead
  6. some more dry wheat flour for dusting & rolling
  7. For Aloo 🥔 stuffing …
  8. 2medium size boiled potatoes 🥔 { peeled & mashed }
  9. 1/2 tsproasted cumin power (jeera)
  10. 1/2 cupfinely chopped 🧅
  11. 1 tbspfinely chopped green chillies & ginger
  12. as required Salt 🧂 to taste
  13. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  14. 1/4 tsphaldi powder
  15. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  16. 1 tbspamchoor powder
  17. 1 tbspchopped coriander leaves
  18. as required Ghee / oil for roasting paratha

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine the whole wheat flour and salt in a bowl and
    mix well.

    Add enough water and knead
    into a semi-stiff dough. Cover & keep aside.

    For stuffing…
    In a bowl take boiled & mashed aloo & put all other ingredients & mix well ; Chevy the seasoning & add if something requires

    Divide the dough into equal parts and make balls out of it.

    Dust a little flour and roll out the dough into a small circle.Keep 2tbsp of stuffing in the center, gather all the corners and seal the dough with the stuffing inside. Press it down gently to flatten it.

    Dust a little four and roll out the flattened dough with the stuffing into a 6-7″ circle. Do not apply too much pressure as the stuffing might come out.

    Heat a non-stick tawa { griddle } and cook the paratha until golden brown spots appear then flip it over to the other side.Spread a little oil / ghee on the other side also and cook both sides well until golden brown.

    Remove from tawa after both the sides are cooked well. Serve with butter coriander chutney,curd & pickles. Enjoy yummy and delicious aloo parathas.
