Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupBlack chana
  2. 4 cupsWater
  3. as per tasteSalt to taste
  4. 2 tbspCooking Oil
  5. 1 tspCumin seeds
  6. 1" piece grated ginger
  7. 1/8 tspasafoetida
  8. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  9. as requiredSalt to taste
  10. 1/2 tspCoriander Seeds powder
  11. 1/2 tspMango Powder
  12. 2 tbspoon chopped coriander leaves

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and Soak black chana overnight.

  2. 2

    In the morning, transfer it in a pressure cooker and pressure cook till 7-8 whistles. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.

  3. 3

    Now heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add asafoetida and saute for 30 seconds. Add grated ginger and saute for 1 minutes.

  4. 4

    Now add salt, red chilli, coriander and mango powder and saute for 30 seconds.

  5. 5

    Now add black chana in this tempering and saute for 10 minutes or till water gets evaporated. Now switch off the flame.

  6. 6

    Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
