In mixing bowl add maida flour, black pepper powder, salt, and ghee moin. Mix well and by adding a little water bind into a semi-stiff dough. Keep aside for 10 minutes.

Knead dough again. Take lemon size portion, roll in ball, flattened it. Roll into thin round roti 7"-8" diameter. Make another similarly.

Apply ghee all over on rolled roti. Sprinkle dry maida flour over it. Place another round roti and press lightly with your hand or roll again.

Cut into squares as shown.

Divide/ make square pieces as shown.

Cut each square diagonally to make triangular pieces.

Bringing opposite ends of the triangular piece..make Diya shape puri. Similarly, prepare all. Repeat all steps with the remaining dough.

Deep fry in batches in hot oil on medium-low flame till crispy golden.

Store in airtight container.

Serve/ Relish Delicious Crispy Layered Diya Mathri during Deepavali festival.
