Ingredients

4-6 servings
  • 1-1/4 poundscollard greens
  • 1-1/4 poundsturnip roots
  • 8 ouncesdiced smoked ham
  • 2 tablespoonsapple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 teaspoonseasoned salt
  • 2 cupswater

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel the turnip roots

    Dice the turnips add to a pot

  3. 3

    Add the ham and salt, let cook 3 minutes

    Stir well

    Add the collards and seasoned salt

    Stir everything mixing

  7. 7

    When the collards are wilted add vinegar

    Simmer covered for 1 hour.
