Ingredients

15 minutes
6 servings
  • 250 gmsId idli batter for idlis
  • 1 small sizedbeetroot
  • 2 tablespoonsmelted pure ghee
  • As per tastesalt
  • 1/4th tspn hing powder
  • somefresh chopped coriander
  • 1-2 tspn butter,to dress idlis optional

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Take Id idli batter in a bowl.
    peel grate beetroot in batter mix.
    add salt,hing to taste. Add 1tspn red chili Kashmiri powder and some cummin coriander powder to the batter. Add coriander leaves too. Mix well.

    Now grease idli moulds with ghee brushing lightly pour in idli moulds now 1tblespn each.

    Heat the idli maker on gas with a glass of water and put in the idli stand to steam idlis KP covered 15-20 min. Take stand out afterx2 min remove in an open bowl sprinkle coriander and add butter.

    Serve hot with any sauc0e chutney you love to savour with. I used green mint chutney with coconut powder mixed in it.
