First, soak the dry fruits, Orange peel, tutti fruity, cherries in orange juice and keep tightly covered in refrigerator for 2 to 4 days.

Then on the day of baking, bring to room temperature along with all other ingredients. Preheat oven to 180 °c for 10 minutes. Grease and line a 6" round baking tin with parchment paper.

Then sieve the dry ingredients and blend them in mixer to get a lump free and smooth mixture. In another bowl, whisk brown sugar, butter, curd vanilla, 1/2 of spices with an electric beater till creamy.

Add the dry ingredients in batches along with milk to make a smooth mixture. Lastly fold in the soaked fruits, remaining spices and gently mix.

Pour in preapred tin and tap well. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Then take out, cover with tea towel and cool on wire rack. Drizzle with powdered or icing sugar and sugar silver balls. Happy holidays!

Store this cake in an airtight container, wrapped in food wrap film to keep it for 1 to 2 weeks. To serve, take out small pieces from the refrigerator, heat in microwave and serve with ice cream.
