  • 3/4 Cshortening
  • 1 Csugar
  • 1/4 Cmolasses
  • 1egg
  • 2 Cflour
  • 2 tspbaking soda
  • 1/2 tspcloves
  • 1/2 tspginger
  • 1 tspcinnamon
  • 1/2 tspsalt

Steps

8-10 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix shortening, sugar, molasses, and egg and dry ingredients

  2. 2

    Chill dough, form into balls

  3. 3

    Roll balls in sugar

  4. 4

    Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes
