Prepare the meat with the bulgur, basil, cumin, and salt. Soak the bulgur in warm water for 15 minutes before adding it to the meat.

Add the bulgur to the meat and grind the mixture using a meat grinder or knead it well by hand.

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion with 9 oz ground beef or lamb (about 250 grams) and the walnuts. Let the mixture cool; this will be the filling for the kibbeh.

Shape the kibbeh with the filling, then fry in hot oil until golden brown.
