Shepherd's Pie (Spicy Beef)

Preheat oven to 200°

Boil the potatoes in a saucepan in salted water for about 15-20 mins. Cook them until tender (easily pierced with a fork)

Meanwhile, in another pan, saute onions. Add in carrot, stir for about 5 mins. Add in ground beef. Mix in the chilli powder and tomato ketchup. Cook until the beef water dissolve. Add in black pepper and salt to taste. Off the heat.

By this time, the potatoes should be tender. Remove from heat and smash. Add in black pepper, milk and cheese. Set them aside.

In an aluminium foil, spread the beef on the bottom layer till halfway mark and cover the top with the mashed potato.

Using a fork, make decorative peaks on the potatoes and sprinkle with the cheese.

Bake until topping is brown, about 20 minutes (oven vary)

Once cooked, let the pie sit for about 5 mins. Garnish with dried parsley before serving.
