Steps
- 1
Sieve the flour and baking soda into a bowl and stir in the sugar. You can even use normal sugar instead of brown sugar.
- 2
In another bowl, beat the egg very well and add jam, vinegar, melted butter and milk to it. Now whisk everything well. Now add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix everything well.
- 3
Add the batter into a greased baking dish and cover it with a greased foil paper greased side down. Bake it in a preheated at 180 degree until golden and wellrisen. If it does not bake well, then it will not soak up the sauce nicely and it will feel heavy.
- 4
To make the sauce add cream, milk, sugar, hot water and butter to a pot and let it heat on medium heat until butter and sugar melts completely and it looks like a sauce.
- 5
Now take the baking dish out of the oven and pour the prepared sauce over it. All the sauce will be soaked in 2 to 3 minutes.
- 6
Warm malwa pudding can be served as a dessert along with ice cream or custard.
