Birthday Cake (Red Velvet and Vanilla) Recipe

Sift your flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and soda in a bowl. Keep aside.

In another bowl, add in sugar, oil, butter and mix. Add in your eggs, vanilla and mix.

Then add buttermilk, vinegar, food color and continue mixing.

Add the sifted flour mixture into the wet ingredients and mix everything together until incorporated. Grease your pan with oil and dust with flour. Pour the batter inside and bake until it's done. Then allow it to cool, keep aside.

For the vanilla cake, sift flour, baking powder and salt together, keep aside. Beat sugar and simas until light and fluffy.

Add in your eggs, one at a time and continue mixing. Then add your flavor. Add in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until fully incorporated. Grease your pan and bake until it's done. Allow it to cool completely.

In a bowl, add the butter and mix for 4-5mins. Add the sifted icing sugar and continue mixing until fluffy. Add your flavor and stir. Refrigerate for 30mins.

Arrange your cake and color the icing with any color of choice (I use red). Apply it to the cake and decorate as desired. You can add sprinkles onto the cake.
