You can make the sauce creamier by preparing a roux with cream, butter, & flour. Then adding more cheese. This is a light pasta recipe 🙂 enjoy

Ingredients

  1. 16 ozangel hair pasta
  2. 1 lbsmoked sausage
  3. 16 ozheavy whipping cream
  4. 1 cupParmesan cheese
  5. 5 tbsunsalted butter
  6. 2bell peppers
  7. 1onion
  8. 1 tbsgarlic powder
  9. 2 tbsCajun seasoning
  10. 1 tbsItalian seasoning
  11. 1 tbssmoked paprika
  12. 1 tspsalt
  13. 2 tsppepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Bring 4qts of water to a boil and add pasta. Boil for 6 minutes then drain. Rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process & add a little olive oil or butter to the pasta so it doesn’t stick together.

  2. 2

Cook the sausage until it’s done and set it aside. In the same pan, heat & melt the butter.

  3. 3

Add & sauté onions & bell peppers. Add water or more butter if needed. Once the veggies become soft add garlic, Italian seasoning, & smoked paprika

  4. 4

After about 3 minutes add whipping cream and stir. At this point, add pepper, cajun seasoning, & salt to taste. This particular Cajun seasoning is already salty so you may not need extra salt.

  5. 5

Bring to a boil then add Parmesan cheese and let it simmer on low for 15 minutes

  6. 6

Add cooked pasta to the sauce in small batches. Share your cooksnap with me 😊💛
