Ingredients

  1. 1 stickbutter (113 gram), melted and cooled
  2. 1 cupflour
  3. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  4. 1/8 tspsalt
  5. 3eggs, room temperature
  6. 2/3 cupsugar
  7. 2 tspvanilla extract
  8. I added a zest of one lemon
  9. You can substitute one tsp of vanilla with extract like orange, lemon, coffee..etc)

Steps

    Heat oven to 350 F or 175 c Butter and flour the Madeleines baking tins. Mix flour, baking powder and salt Beat eggs and sugar for around 7 minutes until you get a thick pale mixture that has doubled in size. Add vanilla (and any other flavoring you are using like the zest in mine) Sift flour mixture over the eggs mixture and fold gently in order to keep the air and volume of the mixture. Once in has in cooperated add butter and fold gently.

    Fill the mixture in an icing bag to make it easier to fill the Madeleines tins. (yes this recipe needs the special tins) Fill 2/3 way through and bake for 11-13 minutes till done. Flip on a cooling rack and let them cool off. Dust with powdered sugar Or better yet with orange
