Bacon Pan Seared Brussel Sprouts
My brother shared this recipe with me after my mother and I told him we hated brussel sprouts but wanted to like them. We’ve been hooked ever since!
Steps
- 1
In a large frying pan cook your bacon on medium low heat
- 2
While your bacon is cooking, rinse your brussel sprouts, cut off root ends and slice in half vertically, put them in a bowl and add the olive oil, salt and pepper, and mix or gently toss to combine
- 3
Once your bacon is golden brown set it aside and cut into small pieces, bite size or smaller
- 4
Add your brussel sprouts cut side down in one even layer to the frying pan with the bacon grease and cook on medium-high heat for a couple minutes or until browned/slightly caramelized, turn off the heat and add the bacon back into the pan, cover and let steam until super soft
- 5
Serve and Enjoy!
- 6
Ps. They taste great with a drizzle of crema balsamic glaze. They’re also good even as leftovers!
