Kabuli Chole

Soak overnight kabuli Chana and pressure cook in sufficient water by adding salt.

Assemble ingredients

In a moderately heated pan add oil, add bay leaf + dry red chili + cumin seeds and allow to crackle. Add onion + green chili and sauté till pinkish then add ginger garlic and sauté for a few seconds to ward off rawness.
Then add chopped Tomato and sauté for till mushy.Then add all spices by adding 3 tbsp water so that masala doesn’t burn.
Sauté till spices is fried well and oil is visible. - 4
Then add boiled Chole along with water and add salt as required. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Now add Kasuri Methi and cook further for 4-5 minutes, lastly add lemon juice and simmer for 1 minute.
Kabuli Chana / Chole is ready to serve.
