Add 1cup toor dal, 2 cups water to cooker.

Add 1 chopped onion, cleaned spinach to cooker

If adding thotakura instead of spinach, add 2 chopped tomatoes to cooker
- 4
Turn the cooker off after 3 whistles
- 5
Add 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 turmeric, chilli powder 3/4 teaspoon to it and mix and grind everything

Add thalimpu and mix while it is still on the flame. Add water as necessary

Add lemon if you want a bit more tanginess
