Never occurred to me to cook a steak in the air fryer until I saw some videos online. So sister Dee-Dee and I came up with our own version, and it's a keeper! The steak was perfectly done to medium, juicy and flavorful. A simple salad or fresh fruit and you've got a yummy meal in no time at all.

Ingredients

7-9 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 1-1/2lbs. Ribeye steak (or sirloin)
  2. 2 T.Olive oil
  3. 1 T.Worcestershire sauce
  4. Hard Core Carnivore steak seasoning
  5. 3/4 stickbutter
  6. 2 T.minced garlic
  7. 12 oz.Honey Gold Bite-Sized potatoes
  8. 8 oz.Mushrooms, sliced
  9. Chives for garnish

Cooking Instructions

7-9 minutes
  1. 1

Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl. Add the olive oil and Worcestershire and mix well to coat all the steak pieces. Liberally sprinkle with the Hard Core Carnivore steak seasoning, mixing to hit all pieces. Allow to sit, covered, at room temperature for 1 hour.

  2. 2

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and saute for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep a close eye on it so the garlic doesn't burn.

  3. 3

Microwave the potatoes for 4 minutes.

  4. 4

Place the steak pieces and potatoes in the air fryer. Air fry at 400°F for 7 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes. After the second stirring, add the mushrooms and finish cooking the last 3 minutes. Pour on the garlic butter, stir well, and serve.

  5. 5

If you've never tried Hard Core Carnivore steak seasoning, GET SOME!! There's no better seasoning for a good steak. And be very liberal with it! We all loved this meal. The steak was a juicy medium-well, which is our preference. Hope you'll try it!

My 5 siblings and I were raised in the 1950s and 60s midwest by a major foodie dad who was a great cook. We all learned to cook at a young age. I love to cook for my 2 daughters, 7 grandkids, 8 great-grandkids, and extended family. My 4 year old great-grandson makes my day when he says "Nan sure is a good cooker!". :-). I'm trying to get all my favorite recipes saved here so my family and friends all have easy access to them even after I'm gone. My Cookpad collection is their inheritance, so I try to add my comments and memories to each recipe; that way they'll remember me with a smile when they use the recipes years from now. Recently I've called on my grandkids (all adults and avid cooks) to send me their own favorite recipes, with their prep photos, so we can collect everyone's favorites together in one place.
