Ingredients

  • Chicken (cut into small pieces)
  • Bamboo skewers (soaked in water)
  • Peanut sauce
  • Halfkg Peanut (Kacang)
  • 2-3table spoons Sweet soy sauce (Kecap Manis)
  • 1Garlic bulb, (minced)
  • Salt 1 Tsp - 2 table spoons Sugar
  • Chilies Powder to taste
  • 2 Table spoonOil
  • 2Lemon leaves (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Thread the chicken pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers.

    Blend peanuts, garlics, salt, sugar and chilies powder.

    Prepare the peanut sauce: In a pan, heat some oil and sauté Blended spices, sweet soya sauce, and lemon leaves until fragrant. Stir well until the sauce thickens. Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed.

    Preheat a grill over medium heat. Grill the skewers, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

    Brush with some Sauce on one side, turn over and cook and brush with some cooking oil on the other side and grill until they are cooked through the meat should turn opaque and pull easily.

    Serve the grilled chicken skewers with the peanut sauce on the side. You can also garnish with fried shallots and sliced cucumber.
