Ingredients

30 minutes
Serves 4 servings
  • 2.2 lbstomatoes (1 kg)
  • 7 ozcrusty bread (about 200 grams)
  • 1/2 cupextra virgin olive oil (100 ml)
  • 1garlic clove
  • Salt, to taste
  • Diced ham
  • Hard-boiled egg

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Cut the tomatoes and bread into small pieces and place them in a blender. Add salt.

  2. 2

    Once blended, slowly add the olive oil while blending until the salmorejo turns a light orange color.

    After everything is mixed, chill in the refrigerator to thicken.

  4. 4

    When ready to serve, cook a hard-boiled egg and chop it. Sprinkle the egg and diced ham on top. Enjoy!
