Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

Preheat the oven at 350 F or 180 C for at least 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Mix 1 cup of plain flour, 1/4 tsp of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Then, add the caster sugar and the melted butter. Mix together.

  3. 3

Add 2-3 drops of vanilla essence and 3/4 cup of desiccated coconut. Mix all of them well.

  4. 4

Add 2 tablespoon of milk. Stir and mix them. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a bit more milk.

  5. 5

Mix well using your hand. Then, put the dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

  6. 6

Line a baking tray with a baking paper on top and divide the dough into 20-22 equal small portions and make round shaped balls.

  7. 7

Flatten each ball a bit and put some cut almond on top for decoration.

  8. 8

Bake the cookies for 10 minutes until the cookies have golden brown color.
