Start by preheating the oven at 180 degrees for 10 min.
Then grease the baking dish and keep aside.
Next take a blender jar. - 2
Put egg, soaked oats, cocoa powder and coffee powder.

Next add salt and vanilla essence. Finally add soft dates and blend.
A smooth batter is ready! - 4
Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish. Tap well.

Arrange the toasted pecans on the batter.
Place this for baking.
Bake for 25 minutes. Poke and check. If needed, bake for 5 minutes more or till done. - 6
Let the baked oats come to room temperature. Remove from the dish and garnish with chocolate coated pecans. Well this is completely optional. You can very well avoid it.

You can make directly in ramekins and dig in...
Nb: If you want an airy and cakey texture for your baked oats, baking powder can help, just add 1/2 tsp baking powder at the time of blending. - 8
