Mix the chickpea water, Marmite, black pepper, baking powder and flour to make a dough. Knead a bit

Flatten the dough. Spread the vegan butter on the dough. Sprinkle some nutritional yeast on top of the butter. Fold the dough, flatten the dough, fold the dough, flatten the dough,....
Maybe about 5 folds. The idea here is just to create some rough layers to give the scones some texture. 2 minutes max. Don't put in a crazy amount of effort to make your layers perfect.

Divide and fold into scone-like shapes. It is good to have some big folds visible in the final shape to make an interesting crispy crust

Brush/spray the outside with rapeseed oil and put in the air fryer for 13 minutes at 180°C
