Tea Cakes Tea Cakes
I was given this recipe for Old Fashions Tea Cakes some 33+ years ago, from my neighbors mom. She had MANY children, and this recipe makes MANY cookies. I usually roll out the dough for cut-out cookies to bake and frost. But for Valentines Day, I wanted something different. Sonya Bankester -
Tea Cakes Tea Cakes
I received this recipe years ago from an elderly lady (98 years old) of 12 children. She had 4 sets of twins. She was a gentle soul and loved to cook and feed people. I met her at a birthday party for one of her great grands, we got to talking about baking and I told her about a cookie that my great granny used to make, but no one knew the recipe. A few days later, she sent her daughter to deliver THE COOKIE recipe, she called them TEA CAKES. This is my go-to recipe for rollout cookies. It makes ALOT! #ChristmasGift Sonya Bankester -

Easy With A Rice Cooker! Matcha Tea Cake With Walnuts Easy With A Rice Cooker! Matcha Tea Cake With Walnuts
I had some walnuts, so I tried adding them to my usual matcha cake. The crunchy nutty texture is really addictive.I'm using an old rice cooker, so I just mix everything in the inner bowl. Black Tea Scented Decoration Cake Black Tea Scented Decoration Cake
I made this for my own birthday! I love tea cake, so I used my favorite earl grey tea for the sponge cake and for the cream. Top it off by placing the tea-soaked prunes on top!The heavy cream will become difficult to mix if you add in water, so please whip it well before adding in the tea mixture. Please mill the tea leaves that will go into the mill as finely as possible. Recipe by Yukirinrin cookpad.japan -
Black Tea Butter Cake with Lemon Icing Black Tea Butter Cake with Lemon Icing
I was selected as a tester for Aspartame sweetener, so I tried using it to make some sweets that I usually avoided due to the calories.I recommend using Earl Grey tea. Adjust the amount of water according to how rich you would like the lemon icing. If you let it sit overnight, it will become even more moist. You can also bake it in an 18-cm pound cake pan. Black Tea Apple Cake (Tarte Tatin Style) Black Tea Apple Cake (Tarte Tatin Style)
I layered apples on the bottom of the pan in a tarte tatin style, and added black tea leaves to make a fragrant black tea apple cake; I baked it in a rice cooker. A recipe for apple cake gave me the idea to make this. The sponge cake portion of the cake should rise as shown in the photo. If you cover it with a cloth or plastic wrap while still hot, and gently press down on it, you can control the degree of rising. You can easily make this with 1 apple, but using 2 apples gives it a richer flavor. Herbal Tea Pound Cake Herbal Tea Pound Cake
I had some sweet flavoured tea, so I added to a pound cake batter. It took on a wonderful fragrance and tasted delicious, so I uploaded the recipe. This time, I used blueberry flavoured tea. Other flavours are nice and fragrant too - try apple, strawberry, peach, or orange.Make sure you bring the egg to room temperature before using. If it's cold, it won't mix well with the butter and will separate. If you leave the pound cake to rest a few days, it will be even tastier. It will be particularly moist if you wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it for 2 - 3 days.If you don't have flavoured tea, use a little more sugar. Recipe by Puru berry cookpad.japan
