Ingredients

10 minutes plus chilling time
8-10 servings
  1. 1sponge cake (I used a Genoise sponge cake)
  2. 1/2 cupheavy cream (100 ml)
  3. 1/2 cupevaporated milk (100 ml)
  4. 1/2 cupsweetened condensed milk (100 ml)

    In a pitcher, combine all the milks (including the heavy cream) and mix well until fully blended.

    Place the sponge cake in a pan that's slightly larger than the cake itself and line it with plastic wrap. This will help keep the liquid from leaking out.

    Once the cake is in the pan, use a skewer or a chopstick to poke holes all over the surface. The more holes, the better.

    Pour the milk mixture evenly over the cake, making sure it's well soaked.

    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. If you can leave it overnight, even better—the cake will soak up more of the mixture.

    Now it's time to enjoy! Since I'm not a fan of meringue, I like to top it with a bit of chocolate whipped cream, but you can use whatever you prefer. Enjoy!
