Chirote

Chirote is traditional Maharashtrian Delicacy mostly made on Festivals.
It is thin layered, Crispy and Sweet Dish.
Today I made it as Nivedyam for Pran-Pratishthan Ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

It is thin layered, Crispy and Sweet Dish.
Today I made it as Nivedyam for Pran-Pratishthan Ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.
Steps

Sieve flour add pinch of salt and two tablespoon ghee in it.Crumble with hands.Add required water and knead hard dough.Keep aside for two hours.

Now knead dough well for a minute.Make nine equal portions.Roll each portion into thin chapati.Apply ghee on each chapati.Make roll of three chapatis.

Cut roll into 1 inch flatten them by hands or rolling pin.

Add water in sugar and make one thread consistency of sugar syrup. Add saffron threads and cardamom powder.

Heat a karahi add sunflower oil in it.Fry flatten balls on very low flame till gets brown and crispy.

Add these crispy chirote in sugar syrup for a minute. Then take out serving bowl. Serve hot or cold.

Very very tasty and nice crispy dish is ready for prasadam.
