Sometimes I want Mac & cheese and didn’t want to make a large pan so I used an 8x8 and it still tastes great!

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 boxelbow noodles (or your favorite noodles)
  2. 1 tablespoonsflour
  3. 1 tablespoonunsalted butter
  4. Optional:1/2 Tbs butter
  5. 1 1/2 cupsheavy cream (or 1 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup milk)
  6. 3/4 blockcheddar cheese
  7. 1/2 blockany cheese (I used mozzarella have also used mozzarella & smoked Gouda)
  8. Salt & pepper
  9. 1/2 tsponion powder
  10. 1 tspgarlic powder
  11. 1 tspTony’s seasoning
  12. 1 tspsmoked paprika & extra for on top
  13. 1/2 tspground mustard
  14. 1/2 tspchicken bouillon (for pasta water)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cook your noodles according to al dente on the box. While the noodles are cooking, make your roux: melt butter over medium heat and whisk flour until there are no more clumps. Slowly whisk in heavy cream.

  2. 2

Optional: when draining noodles, run under warm water to prevent sticking and add extra butter.

  3. 3

Add seasonings and mix. Shred 1/2 block of cheddar and the 1/2 block of your other cheese, whisk until melted.

  4. 4

Place noodles in baking dish, add cheese mixture. Shred the rest of your cheddar cheese on top. If you would like a crispier top spread smoked paprika on top & black pepper(I only did it on half). Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
