Big Katsu Katsudon

I had some Big Katsu (Japanese snack cutlets) in front of me, so I decided to try making this dish. I love Big Katsu, and when I saw them, I thought it might be delicious to make katsudon with them, so I gave it a try.

Cut the Big Katsu into bite-sized pieces.

Thinly slice the onion. In a pan, combine the onion, mentsuyu, water, and sugar. Simmer until the onion is tender.

Add the cut Big Katsu to the pan. Lightly beat the eggs in a separate bowl.

Pour half of the beaten eggs evenly over the Big Katsu.

When the eggs start to set, pour the remaining half over the top. Cover with a lid and turn off the heat.

Serve over hot rice. Enjoy while it's hot!
