Sprinkle the chicken tenders with soy sauce and sake, and let them marinate for about 5 minutes.

Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a skillet and cook the chicken. Add the mirin at the end to give it a glossy finish.

Toast the pre-slit hot dog buns in a toaster oven. Spread with butter or margarine, then spread mayonnaise on top. (You can skip toasting if you prefer.)

Slice the chicken tenders into bite-sized pieces. Cut the pineapple slices in half. Fill the buns with chicken and pineapple to finish!
