Cut the chicken breast against the grain into bite-sized pieces. Place in a plastic bag with the marinade ingredients and massage to coat. Marinate for at least 1 hour.

Cut the onion into pieces similar in size to the chicken. Thread the chicken and onion alternately onto bamboo skewers. Lightly dust with potato starch.

Heat a skillet with a little oil and cook the skewers on both sides until cooked through. Add the prepared sauce and cook until the skewers are glazed and shiny. Serve.
