Steps
- 1
Place the edamame in a bowl and wash them by rubbing to remove dirt and fuzz. Add water and wash well, then add a heaping teaspoon of salt and rub well.
- 2
Fill a pot with about 1 liter (about 4 1/4 cups) of water and bring to a boil.
- 3
Add the edamame to the boiling water. Once 2 or 3 pods open slightly, drain the water using a strainer and transfer the edamame to a bowl.
- 4
Add a pinch of salt, shake the bowl to coat the edamame, and quickly cool them with a fan.
- 5
Perfect for summer meals or as a snack!
