Thank you for making this recipe popular on 1/28/2018! After coming home from work, enjoy a cup of this treat—it’ll help you recharge. About this recipe: It’s perfect for when you’re feeling really tired. Best enjoyed in winter!
Steps
- 1
For this recipe, I used a 78-yen mame daifuku (red bean mochi) from the supermarket.
- 2
Pour the amazake into a mug and drop in the daifuku.
- 3
Heat in the microwave using the milk warming setting until hot, and it’s ready to enjoy!
- 4
For my daughter, I used milk and yomogi daifuku (mugwort mochi). Yomogi daifuku didn’t melt as easily, so I microwaved it a bit longer.
- 5
User CrepeMetre made this with amazake and kudzu manju (kudzu starch mochi) for a summer twist—looks delicious!
