Peel the chestnuts. For this recipe, I boiled them first to make peeling easier.

Rinse the rice and add slightly less water than you would for 3 cups. Add all the ingredients marked with ★ (salt, dashi, sake, mirin, soy sauce) and mix gently.

Add the chestnuts, then start cooking the rice in your rice cooker.

When the rice is done, gently fluff it to avoid breaking the chestnuts.
