Grilled Salted Chicken Wings (Yakitori-Style at Home)

Ingredients

  • 8–10 chicken wing sections (about 6–7 oz or 170–200 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoonchicken bouillon powder
  • 1 tablespooncooking sake (or dry sherry)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps

    Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then use a fork to poke holes all over both sides.

  2. 2

    Place the chicken wings in a bowl, sprinkle with chicken bouillon powder, and add the cooking sake. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Arrange the chicken wings skin-side down on a grill or broiler. Grill over medium heat until the skin is golden brown (about 5 minutes 30 seconds).

  4. 4

    Flip the wings over, reduce to low heat, and cook the other side (about 8 minutes 30 seconds).

    Once cooked, transfer to a plate and season with salt and pepper to taste.
