Serves 8 wings

8chicken wings
2 tablespoons (30 ml)soy sauce
4 inches (10 cm)garlic paste
1 tablespoon (15 ml)sake (or dry white wine)
1 tablespoon (15 ml)mirin

Place the chicken wings in a bag with the ingredients marked ● (soy sauce, garlic paste, sake, mirin) and massage to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

Line a preheated grill with aluminum foil. Grill the wings skin-side down over high heat. Once lightly browned, flip them over.

Brush the remaining marinade from the bag onto the wings and grill until the skin is crispy.

Plate and serve!
