Ingredients

Serves 4 people for 2 days
  • 1 cupall-purpose flour (about 120 grams)
  • 3 tablespoonspotato starch (about 24 grams)
  • 3 teaspoonsmild vinegar (about 15 ml)
  • 2/3 cupwater (150 ml)
  • 1large bowl green beans
  • Oil, as needed for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Make the tempura batter. In a bowl, combine all ingredients except the green beans and mix well.

  2. 2

    Add the green beans to the batter and mix until well coated.

  3. 3

    Heat oil to 350°F (180°C). Fry the green beans in batches of three.

  4. 4

    Fry until golden and crispy. Enjoy!
