❁Easiest❁ Microwave Oatmeal Ochazuke

No need for extra seasoning, and it's good for your stomach!
Recipe background:
I wanted to find a way to enjoy the oatmeal I bought as a rice substitute. It might also be nice with some shiso (perilla) leaves added!

Recipe background:
I wanted to find a way to enjoy the oatmeal I bought as a rice substitute. It might also be nice with some shiso (perilla) leaves added!
Steps
- 1
Here are the ingredients.
I'm using rolled oats. - 2
Put the oatmeal into a rice bowl. About 1/3 cup.
If you want to be precise, use about 30 grams. - 3
Fill the bowl with water until nearly full.
For accuracy, use 3/4 cup (180 ml). - 4
Microwave at 500W for 1 1/2 minutes.
If it looks too firm, microwave for another 30 seconds.
If using a pot, just heat until it comes to a boil. - 5
Add the ochazuke seasoning mix.
- 6
Stir well and add your favorite toppings. I added shredded nori and homemade pickled plum (umeboshi)!
