First warm dry week of spring. The honeysuckle is blooming, the whole garden smells like honey. Honeysuckle tea is a farm remedy for infections. The tea is soothing, it will boost your general feeling of well being. Plant a shrub in a big pot on the hottest side of your home, water it daily, it will become an amazing beauty, climb up the wall and grow taller than you.
We pick the flowers early morning when they are open and after they have been pollinated by the night moths, make fresh tea with fresh flowers and then dry the used flowers in the airfryer dehydrator to use again for more tea in winter.

I teach people at the farmers market to grow small scale fruits and vegetables. My grandparents and parents taught me growing, cooking and preserving home grown fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats and fish. I got certified by the University of California Master Gardener Program in 2005. I try to bring out the original flavor of ingredients, then add layers of spices, herbs and flavorings that enhance, not distort the taste. These are the global, organic and vegan family recipes we use.
